WINE SCHOOL: Fizz & Finesse

We’ll discuss the origins of sparkling wine, with a focus on the iconic Champagne region in France. We’ll walk through the traditional method used to create Champagne and its role as the benchmark for quality sparkling wine worldwide. This class will dive into the key grape varieties used in sparkling wine production, such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, and explore how these grapes contribute to the distinct flavors and aromas in each glass!

VINE SCHOOL: The Elements of Gardening with Julianna

Learn how the basic elements of matter can guide your organic, kitchen-gardening practices. In this class I will teach you how to set garden goals, promote healthy soil, consider the impact of seasons on crop growth, and maximize the amount you can grow in a small space!

You'll come away with your own 3-season garden plan and a seed packet (and the knowledge to read it!) to get you growing!

Instructor Bio:

Victoria is originally from Montréal, Canada and recently moved to the Upper Valley from Southern California. An avid traveler, Victoria has always prioritized world renowned wine regions throughout her adventures. Victoria most recently spent 4 months living abroad in Spain, where she was able to venture to a few nearby wine regions including Rioja, Cava and Porto. She spent the 2022 Harvest in the Rhône Valley, France, assisting an organic and biodynamic vineyard in winemaking production. She recently completed her Level 3 Wine & Spirits Education Trust Certification and is currently pursuing the WSET Diploma. In her spare time you can find her watching documentaries, attempting to bake, or crafting!

Step into the enchanting realm of herbal alchemy with our "Herbal Incense 101" class. Under the guidance of Lilith, immerse yourself in the art of creating personalized loose incense blends for ritual, cleansing, and infusing your space with delightful aromas and protective properties.

During this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the essential techniques for crafting safe and effective herbal blends suitable for burning. Lilith will share her expertise on selecting and blending herbs, ensuring that each ingredient harmonizes with your intentions and desired outcomes.

Upon completion of the class, you'll depart with your own custom herbal incense blend and a charming brass vessel perfect for burning. Additionally, you'll receive charcoal to ignite your creation, allowing you to infuse your space with its enchanting aroma.

About the Instructor: Lilith has been an herbal witch for much of her life but turned to it more diligently and studiously in 2020. She has since created an educational website for other herbal witches and lay people to learn the history and mysteries behind their favorite household herbs to bring more magic into people’s lives. Lilith has a degree in religion which she applies to her craft by studying various faiths’ uses of magic and ritual in order to better understand her own magic and mysticism. Lilith is the GM of Community at Putnam’s vine/yard in which she works to create community and care among the staff and the upper valley through events and experiences unique to the P’s space.

Jim Yeager is a Vermont-based, singer/songwriter, recording artist/producer and full-time music entertainer. He has been performing professionally for 35 years, has done extensive touring, and has shared the stage and studio with many national recording artists and pro studio musicians. 

Chris McCampbell is a Vermont-raised bassist and multi-instrumentalist. He has performed in bands and ensembles of many genres all across the US, and remains committed to practicing, recording, and sharing music with all audiences.

Instructor Bio:

We’re lucky to have Victoria Tuzet teaching in the Putnam’s classroom. Victoria is originally from Montréal, Canada and recently moved to the Upper Valley from Southern California. An avid traveler, Victoria has always prioritized world renowned wine regions throughout her adventures. Victoria most recently spent 4 months living abroad in Spain, where she was able to venture to a few nearby wine regions including Rioja, Cava and Porto. She spent the 2022 Harvest in the Rhône Valley, France, assisting an organic and biodynamic vineyard in winemaking production. She recently completed her Level 3 Wine & Spirits Education Trust Certification. In her spare time you can find her watching documentaries, attempting to bake, or crafting!

About the Instructor: Lilith has been an herbal witch for much of her life but turned to it more diligently and studiously in 2020. She has since created an educational website for other herbal witches and lay people to learn the history and mysteries behind their favorite household herbs as a way of bringing more magic into people’s lives. Lilith has a bachelor’s degree in religion which she applies to her craft by studying various faiths’ uses of magic, ritual, lore, and herbalism in order to better understand her own mysticism.

Lilith is the GM of Community at Putnam’s vine/yard in which she works to create community and care among the staff and the upper valley through events and experiences unique to the P’s space.
