Book + Bottle: Thursday, August 27th 6:30-7:30PM
We’re excited for our partnership with our friends at Norwich Bookstore! Each month, Book + a Bottle brings together both familiar and new faces for lively conversation, thoughtful reads, and wines chosen to complement the story just as much as the discussion.
Our book for August is Water Moon by Samantha Sotto Yambao. This luminous, deeply felt novel follows a young woman navigating the complexities of family expectations, grief, and self-discovery set against a beautifully rendered backdrop of change and tradition. Through its lyrical prose, rich emotional depths, and unforgettable characters, the story explores the delicate balances of love, identity, and the quiet resilience it takes to forge one's own path in the world.
To perfectly mirror the novel's elegant layers and crisp emotional resonance, this month's featured wine is the Paul D. Weissburgunder. Known for its bright acidity, clean minerality, and subtle notes of orchard fruit, this refreshing Pinot Blanc offers a beautifully balanced palate that elevates both the narrative’s nuanced themes and our evening's conversation.
Your Book + a Bottle pre-order includes:
A copy of the book
One curated bottle of wine
An invitation to our guided group discussion

Instructor Bio: Victoria Tuzet
Originally from Montréal, Canada, Victoria recently relocated to the Upper Valley after several years in Southern California. A passionate traveler with a deep curiosity for wine, she plans her adventures around the world’s most celebrated wine regions whenever possible. Her wine travels have taken her through Napa and Sonoma in California; Bordeaux, the Loire Valley, Champagne, Provence, and Alsace in France; Valpolicella and the tiny towns of Tuscany in Italy; Spain’s Rioja and Cava regions; Portugal’s Douro and Porto; and even the volcanic vineyards of the Canary Islands.
Victoria spent four months living in Spain, immersing herself in the local wine culture, and later worked the 2022 harvest in France’s Rhône Valley, assisting with winemaking at an organic and biodynamic estate. She holds her WSET Level 3 Award in Wine and is currently completing the WSET Diploma, with expected graduation in 2026. When she’s not talking terroir or vintages, you’ll likely find her watching documentaries, attempting to bake, or crafting between tastings.

Book + Bottle: Thursday, September 24th 6:30-7:30PM
We’re excited for our partnership with our friends at Norwich Bookstore! Each month, Book + a Bottle brings together both familiar and new faces for lively conversation, thoughtful reads, and wines chosen to complement the story just as much as the discussion.
Our September featured read is The Mad Wife by Meagan Church. This gripping, atmospheric novel delves into the secrets, societal pressures, and quiet defiance of a woman fighting for her own truth within the rigid confines of marriage and tradition. Rich in historical detail and psychological suspense, Church weaves a haunting and unforgettable story exploring love, agency, and the dangerous friction between expectations and reality.
To mirror the novel's rich, evocative depth and lingering emotional tension, this month’s selection is the Bruno Lafon Les Fleurs Rouge. Expressive and beautifully structured, this French red features vibrant notes of dark berries, subtle floral aromas, and a warm, velvety finish. Its well-balanced palate and smooth character make it the ideal companion for dissecting the dark, captivating layers of Church’s storytelling.
Your Book + a Bottle pre-order includes:
A copy of the book
One curated bottle of wine
An invitation to our guided group discussion
Choose from two discussion dates:
Thursday, September 24th, from 6:30-7:30 PM

Italian Wine Tasting
A Taste of Italy Awaits 🇮🇹
Join us for a complimentary Italian wine tasting featuring four incredible wines from across Italy—one crisp white, one refreshing rosé, and two expressive reds. Our friends from Artisanal Cellars will be in-house pouring each wine, sharing the stories behind the producers, the regions they come from, and what makes each bottle unique. Swing by to taste, ask questions, and take home a bottle or two!
Wine School: Napa & Sonoma: a Tale of Two Valleys
Separated only by the Mayacamas Mountains, these two legendary neighbors offer worlds of difference in every glass. While Napa Valley is the celebrated home of powerful, opulent Cabernet Sauvignon and world-class luxury, Sonoma County offers a diverse tapestry of cool-climate Pinot Noir, rugged Zinfandels, and coastal Chardonnays. Join us as we compare the "Two Valleys," exploring how geography, climate, and winemaking philosophy have shaped these icons of American wine. It’s a side-by-side journey through the heart of California’s most famous wine country!

Book + Bottle: Thursday, July 30th 6:30-7:30PM
We’re excited for our partnership with our friends at Norwich Bookstore! Each month, Book + a Bottle brings together both familiar and new faces for lively conversation, thoughtful reads, and wines chosen to complement the story just as much as the discussion.
Our book for July is The Briar Club by Kate Quinn. This rich, atmospheric novel follows a group of women living in a Washington, D.C., boarding house during the height of the McCarthy era. Through shared secrets, unexpected friendships, and a central, gripping mystery, the story explores what it means to find community, resilience, and true connection while navigating the paranoia and rigid political pressures of the 1950s.
To pair with the book, we’ve chosen the Les Fleurs Blanches Vermentino. Much like the novel’s mix of elegant facades and deeply layered lives, this wine—a Mediterranean Vermentino and Grenache Blanc blend from Bruno Lafon—is both sophisticated and thoroughly quenching. It offers a crisp, stainless-steel-aged finish with vibrant, hand-harvested freshness—a true utopia of refreshment for a story about female solidarity, hidden truths, and the strength found in coming together.
Your Book + a Bottle pre-order includes:
A copy of the book
One curated bottle of wine
An invitation to our guided group discussion
Choose from two discussion dates:
Sunday, July 26th, from 4:30-5:30 PM
or Thursday, July 30th, from 6:30–7:30 PM
Please be sure to select your date at checkout.
Pick-up details:
Orders will be available for pick-up beginning June 23rd, and you’ll receive an email as soon as your bundle is ready. Please note that orders will be held for two weeks from the pick-up start date. After that, unclaimed orders may be forfeited.
Space is limited, and discussion attendance is reserved exclusively for those who have purchased Book + a Bottle. As a little perk, let our bartenders know you’re part of the group during the meetup to enjoy 10% off your bar tab.
We can’t wait to read, sip, and discuss with you- see you there! 📚🍷
