Vermont Farm to Table Cookbook Release

Join us from 4 - 7 PM for the launch of Vermont Farm to Table Cookbook by Jenna and Nora Rice! We’ll be featuring light bite treats straight from the book’s recipes, with an author meet & greet from 5 - 7 PM!

About the Authors

Jenna and Nora Rice have deep roots in Vermont. Growing up on a farm in Hartland, both

sisters discovered their passion for farming at a young age, working with dairy cattle and

helping their parents in the garden as early as 5 years old.

After finishing school, Jenna stayed in Vermont, where she settled on a 5 acre homestead and

began a successful career in photography and creative marketing, working with Vermont food

and beverage brands to elevate their stories through creative marketing.

Nora attended culinary school in England before working in restaurants all over the world, from

Ireland’s only Michilin starred pub, to an Italian Agrotourismo and a caterer in New Zealand,

before returning stateside to open her own catering company, Roaming Roots Kitchen.

It was once the two sisters found themselves reunited in Vermont once again that the idea for

farm to table was born. Combining Nora’s culinary skills, Jenna’s photography and design

abilities, and a shared love for local food, the pair developed, tested and photographed recipes

for Vermont Farm to Table, using only locally grown and produced ingredients to create dozens

of delicious and unique foods, bringing a sense of place and flavor of Vermont to readers with

each recipe.

About the Book

The Vermont Farm to Table Cookbook takes farm-to-table recipes to a new level, bringing you

60 delicious recipes made with only Vermont-grown ingredients in our cookbook.

Divided into four chapters, the cookbook offers a selection of recipes to highlight the fresh local

ingredients of each season. This book is not only for the home gardener or homesteader, but

for anyone living in Vermont (or the broader northeast and east coast) who loves real, fresh,

healthy food!

Live Music: JT Horne

Join singer/songwriter JT Horne for live music at Putnam’s vine/yard.

JT Horne began his musical journey at a young age, singing in his church’s choir and participating in band and chorus throughout grade school in his small hometown of Worcester, New York. At age 10, Horne picked up the guitar and piano and quickly fell in love. When the singer was given Neil Young’s “Decade” some years later from a lifelong friend, he knew at that moment he not only wanted to play music, but he also wanted to write and compose it. Since that early age, music has been his main focus and his life’s mission. Horne went on to study music and English in college, receiving his B.A. from Oswego State in 2018. The musician currently performs solo and with his band, The Leaps, throughout the country.

The songwriter’s unorthodox voice catches the audience's ear and leaves them craving for more, while his songwriting provokes feelings wrapped in nostalgia. Catch the singer performing original tunes and favorite cover songs from the country, folk, rock, blues, and Americana genres.

December Book + Bottle: Tuesday, December 16th

We’re excited to continue our partnership with our friends at Still North Books! Each month, Book + a Bottle brings together both familiar and new faces for lively discussions over thoughtfully paired books and wines.

In December, we’ll be reading The Wood at Midwinter by Susanna Clarke. In The Wood at Midwinter, nineteen-year-old Merowdis Scot finds solace in the winter woods, communing with animals and nature. When she encounters a mysterious figure in the forest, her quiet life is transformed, and she must navigate a path of unexpected change and self-discovery.

To pair with the story, we’ve chosen Haraszthy Family Cellars' Bearitage Lodi Red Blend, a mix of Zinfandel, Syrah, and Petite Sirah, with juicy notes of cherry, plum, and blackberry, and a smooth, easy finish that’s as enjoyable and layered as the tale itself.

Your pre-order includes a curated bottle of wine, a copy of the book, and an invitation to an engaging discussion.

October Book + Bottle: Thursday, October 30th

We’re excited to continue our partnership with our friends at Still North Books! Each month, Book + a Bottle brings together both familiar and new faces for lively discussions over thoughtfully paired books and wines.

In October, we’ll be reading Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman — yes, the enchanting novel that inspired the beloved film! The story of witches, real love, family bonds, and everyday spells now feels even more magical with the long-awaited sequel filming. Practical Magic 2 is currently in production, with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman reprising their roles and new cast members joining the Owens family!

To complement the read, we’ve selected McBride Sisters' Black Girl Magic Riesling, a rich and luxurious Riesling that shines with sun-kissed apricot, jasmine, and sweet honey notes. It’s a perfect companion for an evening of magical storytelling and rich discussion.

Your pre-order includes a curated bottle of wine, a copy of the book, and an invitation to an engaging discussion.

Choose from two dates:

Tuesday, October 28th, or

Thursday, October 30th, 6:30–7:30 PM.

Be sure to select your date when purchasing!

Sign Up Here!

Pick-ups start October 1st, 2025. We will send an email when they are ready for pick-up!

Space is limited, and attendance is reserved for those on the Book + a Bottle order list. As a bonus, let our bartenders know you’re part of the group during the meetup to receive 15% off your bar tab.
