It’s a shop & sip kind of Mimosa Satur-YAY at the vine/yard!
We’re excited to showcase hand-thrown, rustic stoneware by Heidi Louise Pottery of Randolph, VT!
About the creator:
Heidi grew up in a cabin in the woods of Vermont, always comforted and happiest in nature. After graduating in environmental studies and ceramics in North Carolina, she returned to Vermont and started working at River Arts Community Art Center, where she worked for five years launching and managing a now thriving community clay studio. Now she works full time making functional stoneware pottery intended for everyday use.
“For me, pottery is the ultimate juxtaposition of nature and humans - and I want my pieces to honor both. I use clay with inherent earthy character- brown, tan, speckled, gritty and marbled together. I want the beautiful, healing flow-state of making to be alive in my pieces through retaining spiraling throwmarks, trimmed tool edges, and graceful pulled handles. I'm always trying to better live up to the infinite beauty in nature and sensitivity of the human hand and eye.”
