Instructor Bio:

We’re lucky to have Hunter teaching in the Vine School classroom! Hunter is originally from Michigan where she grew up on an elk farm, and fell in love with agriculture, food sustainability, and environmental science. Before moving to Vermont, Hunter worked on climate resilience plans for rural communities, studied Asian elephant behavior in Thailand, and created a small beeswax wrap company. She now studies food and agriculture law and policy at Vermont Law and Graduate School, focusing on viticulture. Hunter is an avid outdoors-woman, plant and garden enthusiast, and dog mom to Layne - a totally deaf Australian Cattle mix. Hunter is always excited to learn something new and pass on knowledge and experiences to new friends! Hunter enjoys coordinating our events, pouring wine behind the bar, and teaching classes at Putnam’s vine/yard!
