WINE SCHOOL: Vino Italiano

Italy is renowned for its centuries-old winemaking traditions and boasts an extensive array of grape varieties, regions, and wine styles. During this class, we will dive into the fascinating history and geography of Italian wine, exploring iconic regions like Tuscany, Piedmont, Veneto, and Sicily. We’ll talk about the impact on climate and soil on grape cultivation, and the unique winemaking techniques that make Italian wines stand out. We’ll explore the indigenous grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, and Barbera!

Instructor Bio:

Victoria is originally from Montréal, Canada and recently moved to the Upper Valley from Southern California. An avid traveler, Victoria has always prioritized world renowned wine regions throughout her adventures. Victoria most recently spent 4 months living abroad in Spain, where she was able to venture to a few nearby wine regions including Rioja, Cava and Porto. She spent the 2022 Harvest in the Rhône Valley, France, assisting an organic and biodynamic vineyard in winemaking production. She recently completed her Level 3 Wine & Spirits Education Trust Certification and is currently pursuing the WSET Diploma. In her spare time you can find her watching documentaries, attempting to bake, or crafting!
