In the fourth and final class of our Italian wine series, we journey to the sun-soaked landscapes of Southern Italy, a region bursting with bold flavors, ancient traditions, and some of the most exciting wines in the country. From the rugged hills and coastal vineyards of Campania to the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, Southern Italy offers a world of expressive, terroir-driven wines just waiting to be discovered.
In this class, you’ll taste your way through deep, powerful reds made from Aglianico, crisp and aromatic whites like Fiano, and unique, mineral-laced wines born from Sicily’s volcanic soils. We’ll explore how geography, elevation, and climate—especially the influence of the sea and active volcanoes—contribute to the structure and character of these distinct wines.
This is the perfect class for anyone who enjoyed our Island Vibes flight from the Quarter 2 menu, as we’ll dive even deeper into those sunny, seaside flavors through guided insight and a thoughtfully curated tasting lineup.
This class is led by our General Manager, Christine, a WSET Level 3 student who has traveled to Sicily and experienced its wine culture firsthand. Her personal stories and deep wine knowledge will add a unique and immersive perspective to the tasting experience.
Whether you’ve been with us for the entire series or are joining for this final chapter, this class offers a vibrant, flavorful conclusion to our tour of Italy. Come raise a glass to Southern Italy—an often underrated region full of depth, soul, and unforgettable wines.
