In this immersive wine class, we’ll explore the distinct wines of Greece, where over 6,000 years of winemaking traditions blend seamlessly with modern innovations. You’ll discover unique grape varieties that thrive in Greece’s diverse terroirs, shaped by its Mediterranean climate, from the crisp, citrusy Assyrtiko of Santorini to the floral elegance of Moschofilero from the Peloponnese to the bold, aromatic reds of Agiorgitiko and Xinomavro. Along the way, we’ll uncover the ancient techniques that shaped these wines, as well as the contemporary methods that are helping Greek wines gain recognition around the world. Join us for this unforgettable tasting experience and discover why Greek wines are some of the most exciting and dynamic today.

Instructor Bio:

Victoria is originally from Montréal, Canada and recently moved to the Upper Valley from Southern California. An avid traveler, Victoria has always prioritized world renowned wine regions throughout her adventures. Victoria most recently spent 4 months living abroad in Spain, where she was able to venture to a few nearby wine regions including Rioja, Cava and Porto. She spent the 2022 Harvest in the Rhône Valley, France, assisting an organic and biodynamic vineyard in winemaking production. She recently completed her Level 3 Wine & Spirits Education Trust Certification and is currently pursuing the WSET Diploma. In her spare time you can find her watching documentaries, attempting to bake, or crafting!
