Wine School September 10th: Finger Lakes

The Finger Lakes region of New York has quietly become one of the most exciting wine regions in the U.S., earning international acclaim for its laser-sharp Rieslings, expressive Cabernet Francs, and a growing cast of cool-climate varietals.

In this class, we’ll dive into what makes the Finger Lakes so distinctive—from its deep glacial lakes and slate and shale soils to the region’s pioneering winemakers who’ve embraced sustainable and small-scale production. Taste through a curated flight of wines, learn about the stories behind the bottles, and gain insight into how this region is shaping the future of American wine.

Whether you're already a Finger Lakes fan or totally new to the region, this session is designed to leave you with a deeper appreciation for one of the most dynamic and terroir-driven wine areas on the East Coast.

Instructor Bio:

Victoria is originally from Montréal, Canada and recently moved to the Upper Valley from Southern California. An avid traveler, Victoria has always prioritized world renowned wine regions throughout her adventures. Victoria most recently spent 4 months living abroad in Spain, where she was able to venture to a few nearby wine regions including Rioja, Cava and Porto. She spent the 2022 Harvest in the Rhône Valley, France, assisting an organic and biodynamic vineyard in winemaking production. She recently completed her Level 3 Wine & Spirits Education Trust Certification and is currently pursuing the WSET Diploma. In her spare time you can find her watching documentaries, attempting to bake, or crafting!
